Grounds Team Member Four Streams Golf Club is an 18-hole private club located in the upper Northwest portion of Montgomery County outside of Washington D.C. in Beallsville, MD. The course was designed by Steve Smyers and Nick Price opening in 1998. The course provides playing areas of L-93 bent grass greens, tees, and fairways. Roughs are Kentucky bluegrass with Tall Turf Type Fescue. Low rounds are played annually with low golf membership. Four Streams Golf Club is the golf experience. We are in desire of the right individual that will enhance our current team and give to the overall vision of ownership ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: -   Responsible for upkeep of golf course greens, fairways, and other course surfaces to ensure compliance with course standards to include but not limited to mowing, raking bunkers, edging paths, pruning of bushes and trees, laying mulch, seeding and sod repair, maintaining cart pathways and fencing. - Plants small trees & other foliage to ensure beautification and environmental stewardship of course and surroundings. - Repair any ball marks, fills divots and any other lawn maintenance in playing areas. - Maintains sprinkler heads and irrigation systems to ensure good working conditions. - Ensures proper maintenance of utility vehicles and other equipment and supplies used for grounds upkeep. - Responsible for wearing personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating procedures. - Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Some landscaping at a country club, golf course or similar environment preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES -   Knowledge of USGA regulations regarding course settings preferred. - Knowledge of golf course maintenance activities preferred. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. - Ability to work weekends, holidays and flexible hours. - Ability to perform duties/tasks that require physical strength and endurance. - Ability to multitask and/or perform different tasks/duties as required. - Ability to follow established safety guidelines. - Knowledge of use of landscaping equipment to include operation of lawn mowers (ride and push, edgers, trimmers, etc.). - Must have reliable transportation. - Ability to understand, follow, and communicate written and verbal instructions. - Attention to detail. - Ability to work with all types of personality displays a cooperative attitude with both team members and guests and members. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The job requires reaching of arms and hands, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, standing or walk for prolonged periods of time. Move, lift, carry, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds without assistance. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the job. WORK ENVIRONMENT The position works outside and may be exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with increased levels performing assigned duties.
