## About the Role We're looking for a Golf Grounds Technician to join our team at Grand Casino Hinckley. In this part-time, seasonal/temporary role, you'll be responsible for the overall care of our grounds, gardens, and golf course (Golf Course duties specifically for the Hinckley property). Compensation is $16 to $24 per hour, based on experience. **What you'll be doing:** - Prepare, plant, and maintain all plant beds across the complex and outlying properties. - Identify and treat plants for pests and diseases. - Operate company vehicles and maintenance equipment. - Remove trash and debris daily; hand shovel snow as needed. - Use cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment safely per manufacturer instructions. - Operate mowers up to 80 horsepower with up to seven deck or reel cutting units. - Maintain consistent mowing practices across golf turf and casino lawns. - Operate irrigation systems, fertilizer spreaders, ground aerators, debris blowers, string trimmers, utility carts, and loaders. - Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all equipment daily; report problems immediately. - Set golf tee markers daily; maintain ball washers; replace tee towels and flags. - Sand and seed tee and drop area divots; hand water and fertilize tees, greens, and fairways. - Mark course for cart control, move barriers, replace ropes and signs, mark hazard and drop areas. **Competencies:** We're looking for someone who lives our values, builds collaborative relationships, and has good communication skills.
