Morton Golf is seeking a dependable, hardworking Greens Keeper / Hand Waterer to join our Golf Course Maintenance team at Bing Maloney Golf Complex. If you enjoy working outside, take pride in attention to detail, and want to make a visible impact every day, this may be the perfect opportunity.
As our Greens Keeper / Hand Waterer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining healthy, beautiful putting greens by ensuring proper moisture levels throughout the golf course. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, appreciates nature, and takes pride in caring for one of the most important features of a golf course.
What You'll Do
Hand-water greens throughout the golf course using hoses and watering equipment
Monitor turf conditions and identify dry or stressed areas
Follow daily watering plans established by the Superintendent
Help maintain exceptional playing conditions for golfers
Assist with watering tees, collars, and other priority turf areas
Perform general golf course maintenance including divot repair, bunker touch-up, and debris removal
Safely operate and care for equipment
Work as part of a professional golf course maintenance team
What We're Looking For
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, irrigation, agriculture, or outdoor labor is preferred
Experience with hand watering or turf maintenance is a plus—but we're happy to train motivated individuals!
