General Manager The Dominion Club | Glen Allen, Virginia The Dominion Club, part of the Heritage Golf Group portfolio, is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead all aspects of club operations. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience, developing a strong team, and driving the overall financial and operational performance of the Club. The ideal candidate is a proven private club or hospitality leader who is equally comfortable engaging with members, developing department leaders, and managing the business. This individual will bring a hands-on, approachable leadership style and a passion for creating an outstanding club culture. About The Dominion Club Located in Glen Allen, Virginia, just outside of Richmond, The Dominion Club is a private country club offering a vibrant, year-round experience for members and their families. The Club features championship golf along with racquet sports, aquatics, fitness, dining, events, and social programming. As part of Heritage Golf Group, The Dominion Club combines its unique local culture and community with the resources and support of a growing national portfolio. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and direction for all Club operations and department leaders.Build, develop, and retain a high-performing management team while fostering a positive and accountable workplace culture.Maintain a highly visible and engaged presence throughout the Club, building strong relationships with members and employees.Ensure an exceptional and consistent member experience across all areas of the Club.Proactively seek member feedback and identify opportunities to enhance engagement, satisfaction, and retention.Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets.Monitor financial performance, labor, expenses, revenue, and departmental results.Partner with department leaders to improve operational efficiency and overall Club performance.Recruit, coach, and develop department leaders while establishing clear expectations and accountability.Promote strong communication and collaboration across all Club departments.Oversee the overall condition, presentation, and maintenance of Club facilities and amenities.Partner with Heritage Golf Group leadership on strategic initiatives, capital projects, and opportunities to enhance the property.Ensure compliance with applicable Club policies, safety standards, and operational requirements. Qualifications Significant leadership experience within a private club, golf club, resort, hospitality, or similarly service-driven environment.Previous General Manager, Club Manager, Assistant General Manager, or comparable senior leadership experience strongly preferred.Demonstrated success leading multi-department operations and management teams.Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, labor, and operating results.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.Proven ability to develop teams and create a culture of accountability and exceptional service.Highly visible, approachable, and comfortable interacting regularly with members, employees, and senior leadership.Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant industry certifications are a plus.
