Duties
Prepare and cook menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail, following established recipes and presentation standards
Assist with menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials based on culinary trends and customer preferences
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients to minimize waste
Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently and maintaining quality standards during service
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of orders during busy hours
Demonstrate excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques to enhance efficiency and safety in the kitchen
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related role within the food service industry
Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices
Experience working in fine dining establishments or catering environments is highly desirable
Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and culinary techniques
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking methods such as grilling, sautéing, roasting, and baking
Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving guests and supporting colleagues
