Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment\nand be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by\nTroon. The desired candidate would be someone who enjoys working outdoors, is a\nteam player, self-motivated, detailed oriented, and appreciates the value of\nhard work.\n\nDuties include but not limited to mix, prepare and apply chemical solutions\n(insecticides, herbicides, fungicides). The candidate will also keep up with\npesticide and fertilizer inventory as well as keeping records of pesticide and\nfertilizer applications
Responsibilities
Apply fertilizer and chemical applicationsUpdate spray records, inventory and MSDS sheetsCalibrate spray equipment and fertilizer spreadersGeneral upkeep and maintenance on spray equipmentOver time be able to start diagnosing pest and fungus issuesRequirements
Have no problems wearing spray applicator suites, full face respirators, or chemical resistant\n apparelAble to lift 50 poundsPerform simple calculationsWilling to learnDetail orientedKeep area neat and organizedHave or willing to obtain Pesticide Applicators License within 60 days of employmentHave a Michigan Pesticide license in 3a and/or 3b, or the ability to obtain a Michigan pesticide license in 60 days of employment.Ability to understand the turf and chemical relationships, rules and regulations and spray safely with the PPE's provided.High School Diploma or EquivalentNice-to-haves
Secondary studies in turf, agronomy, or insects is desirable but not necessary.
