We are changing the way that country club food is perceived, from scratch kitchen, whole animal butchery, pasta preparation, focus and emphasis on local fresh seasonal menus. If you like being challenged and learning in a fun hands on environment then this is your kitchen. We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for multiple menus. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the Executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and production of food items for all food and beverage areas primarily the pool kitchen.Set up and stocking stations with all necessary suppliesPrepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)Ensure that prep-lists and stations are to exact specifications of chefs.Ensure that daily cleaning & organizing tasks are completed.Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructionsClean up stations promptly following service and ensure that all items are stored appropriately.Stock items on line based off of season, volume, & quality.Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in top quality and in a timely fashion.Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customersSkills
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook.Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.Familiar with industry’s best practices and trends.Culinary school diploma preferred, but not necessary.Pay: From $18.50 per hour
