Golf Services Professional at the Country Club of Detroit play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for our Members and guests. Golf Services Professionals are responsible for providing exceptional service while maintaining the pristine condition of our golf facilities. Golf Services Professionals are dedicated individuals with a passion for golf and a commitment to delivering excellence in customer service.
Essential Job Duties
Bag Handling
Greet Members and guests upon arrivalAssist with unloading/loading golf bagsEnsure bags are properly stored and organized
Cart Management
Manage the fleet of golf carts, including cleaning, charging, and arranging for maintenance as needed. Ensure carts are available and always prepared for use
Driving Range Maintenance
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the driving range, including:Picking up golf ballsReplenishing suppliesEnsuring safety protocols are followed
Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing Member and guest inquiriesAssisting with tee time reservationsOffering assistance, as needed, on the course
Safety Compliance
Adhere to all safety and compliance standards, including:Golf cart operationDriving range protocolsGeneral course safety
Requirements
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience within the hospitality or golf industry, preferredStrong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanorKnowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and terminology is preferred but not requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficientlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong emphasis on teamworkWillingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends and holidaysPhysical ability to lift and maneuver golf bags and equipmentValid driver's license required
Working Conditions
Frequent walking throughout premisesStanding for prolonged periods of timeBending, Stooping and lifting regularlyWorking outside in varying degrees of temperatures/weatherAbility to lift 50 pounds, on occasion
