Assistant Golf Professional / Golf Merchandise Specialist Location: Rock Bottom Golf Pro Shop at Morgan’s Crossing Compensation: $18.00 per hour / Possible Commission Employment Type: Seasonal / Part-Time Position Overview Rock Bottom Golf is seeking a dependable, service-oriented individual to join our Seasonal Golf Shop team located at the Rock Bottom Golf Pro Shop at Morgan’s Crossing Golf Course. This role is essential to creating a positive first and last impression for our guests while supporting the daily operations of the golf shop. This is a seasonal position requiring availability during peak golf season, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service. Assist golfers in selecting golf clubs, balls, bags, accessories, and apparel. Conduct basic club fittings and equipment evaluations. Explain product features, benefits, and technology to customers. Manage trade-in transactions and evaluate used golf equipment. Maintain merchandise displays and ensure products are properly stocked and organized. Process sales transactions accurately through the point-of-sale system. Help promote sales events, new product launches, and special promotions. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail environment. Stay current on industry trends, equipment technology, and new product offerings. Support golf shop operations and special events as needed. Qualifications Knowledge of golf equipment, brands, and current industry trends. Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn product specifications and fitting principles. Basic computer and point-of-sale system experience. Passion for golf and helping golfers improve their game. Preferred Skills Experience with golf club fitting and launch monitor technology. Experience evaluating and selling pre-owned golf equipment. Familiarity with inventory management and merchandising practices. PGA Associate or PGA Member status is a plus. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys golf, has strong equipment knowledge, and enjoys helping golfers find the right equipment to improve their performance and enjoyment of the game.
