Lake Waramaug Country Club is seeking a skilled and dependable Part-Time Turf Equipment Technician to join our Golf Course Maintenance team.
Year-Round | 15–20 Hours/Week | $30–$40/Hour | Flexible Schedule
We understand that the right candidate may have other work or personal commitments. We are willing to design a consistent work schedule that works for both the employee and the Club.
What You’ll Do Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a diverse fleet of golf course equipment, including:
- Riding and rotary mowers
- Reel mowers
- Tractors and utility vehicles
- Golf carts
- String trimmers and blowers
- Small engines and other grounds equipment
The technician will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment adjustments and will work independently much of the time.
A New Maintenance Facility Is Coming Lake Waramaug Country Club is preparing to begin construction of a new, state-of-the-art Golf Course Maintenance Facility , including a dedicated mechanic’s bay designed specifically for equipment maintenance, repair, and associated mechanical work .

What We’re Looking For A dependable, organized individual with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills who takes pride in keeping equipment operating safely and at a high level.
$30–$40/hour based on experience and qualifications
Approximately 15–20 hours per week, year-round
Flexible scheduling — we’ll work with the right candidate to develop a schedule that works for both sides
Mechanical Experience Required — Turf Experience Preferred Previous mechanical experience is required , but golf course or turf equipment experience is preferred, not required .
Experience with reel and bedknife grinding, reel mower setup and adjustment, honing, and sharpening is a plus. Training will be provided for a mechanically qualified candidate who is new to these specialized skills.
