The equipment manager reports to the Director of Agronomy and oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for the golf course assets including a mix fleet of equipment, service areas, tools and parts. The individual also works with assistant superintendents in a collaborative, team manner.
Holly Tree Country Club is a private club located in Simpsonville SC, just outside of Greenville. The course was designed by George Cobb and opened in 1973. In addition to a driving range, putting green, and chipping green, Holly Tree Country Club also offers a private skills area and short course.
We are undergoing a major course renovation that started in October of 2025, designed by Jeff Lawrence, ASCGA. The golf course will reopen in September 2026. We also have a new fleet of equipment arriving in August 2026.

Key responsibilities and duties:
- Performs diagnostic and repair of equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment, and placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment or service.
- Properly communicates any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the superintendent and schedules and directs the work assignments of the assistant equipment manager.
- Places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building.
- Strong follow-through on delegated tasks and assignments, which will require record keeping and preventative maintenance scheduling.
- Follows established policies and procedures and expects other to do the same.
1-3 years as an Equipment Manager preferred
