Maintenance Staff

Position Summary The Part-Time Maintenance / Janitorial employee is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and general condition of the Club's facilities and grounds. This position performs routine janitorial duties, light maintenance, cleaning, setup, and general facility support to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for Members, guests, and employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clean and maintain restrooms, locker rooms, offices, hallways, common areas, and other club facilities.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and clean floors and surfaces.

Empty trash and recycling containers and maintain cleanliness of waste areas.

Replenish restroom and janitorial supplies as needed.

Clean windows, mirrors, fixtures, furniture, and other facility surfaces.

Assist with cleaning and preparation of facilities before and after member activities, tournaments, banquets, and special events.

Perform light maintenance and repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, minor touch-ups, and other routine tasks.

Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or facility concerns to the supervisor.

Assist with moving tables, chairs, equipment, and other items as needed.

Maintain janitorial equipment and supplies in an orderly and safe manner.

Follow proper procedures for the use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Assist with general upkeep of club facilities and surrounding areas.

Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor when interacting with members, guests, and coworkers.

Follow all Club policies, safety procedures, and instructions from supervisors.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous janitorial, maintenance, custodial, hospitality, or facilities experience preferred but not required.

Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail.

Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Ability to interact professionally with members, guests, and coworkers.

Basic mechanical or maintenance skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs.

Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to [50] pounds.

Ability to push and pull cleaning carts and equipment.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

Ability to safely operate common janitorial and maintenance equipment.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
