Duties Maintain the health and appearance of the golf course turf through mowing, aerating, fertilizing, and overseeding using specialized lawn care equipment. Operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and prevent water waste or damage to greens and fairways. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, edging, and gardening to enhance course aesthetics. Use hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, and heavy machinery safely for groundskeeping tasks such as tree trimming, debris removal, and landscape repairs. Manage pesticide application procedures responsibly by following safety protocols to control pests while protecting the environment. Oversee groundskeeping activities related to athletic field maintenance and general landscaping to ensure safe play areas. Assist in supervising staff or volunteers during grounds maintenance projects, ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to safety standards. Operate company vehicles and grounds maintenance equipment efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines for power tool safety and heavy lifting. Requirements Proven experience in golf course groundskeeping or athletic field grounds maintenance with a strong understanding of turf management practices. Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape maintenance techniques, pesticide management, and gardening principles. Ability to operate power tools such as chainsaws, lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment safely and effectively. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, digging, planting, and debris removal in outdoor environments. Familiarity with equipment maintenance routines to ensure longevity and optimal performance of groundskeeping machinery. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently. Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles preferred; willingness to learn new skills related to groundskeeping technology is a plus.
