Assistant Golf Professional

<p>New Haven Country Club is seeking a seasonal, entry-level Assistant Golf Professional for the 2026 season.</p> <p>This position is ideal for a motivated individual beginning their career in the golf industry who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-quality member experience.</p> <p>The Assistant Golf Professional will work closely with the Head Golf Professional and Golf Staff while gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of daily golf operations.</p> <p>Primary responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assisting with the daily operation of the Golf Shop</p> </li> <li> <p>Supporting merchandising efforts, including organizing and displaying inventory</p> </li> <li> <p>Providing a friendly and professional presence while interacting with members and guests</p> </li> <li> <p>Assisting with the preparation and execution of club tournaments and events</p> </li> <li> <p>Learning and supporting day-to-day golf operations</p> </li> <li> <p>Communicating and reinforcing club policies such as pace of play, dress code, and course guidelines</p> </li> <li> <p>Participating in member engagement opportunities, including playing golf with members when appropriate</p> </li> <li> <p>Opportunities to assist with and develop teaching skills through private and group instruction, including junior and ladies programs</p> </li> </ul> <p>This position offers a strong learning environment for an aspiring golf professional looking to build foundational experience in a private club setting.</p> <p>The seasonal role will begin in Spring 2026 and conclude between September 30 and December 15.</p> <p>A successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the daily golf operation.  The Assistant Golf Professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <p>-Assist and/or manage the Golf Shop and merchandising responsibilities.</p> <p>- A personable and professional individual with the ability to engage members on a daily basis</p> <p>-Assist in displaying Golf Shop merchandise</p> <p>-Assist the Head Professional in the management and execution of an extensive tournament schedule.</p> <p>-Assist Head Professional with the day to day management of the golf operation.</p> <p>-Opportunity for privagte and group lessons with a strong junior and ladies program</p> <p>-Play golf with the members.</p> <p>-Understand and communicate to the members club policies i.e. rules, pace of play, dress code, etc.</p> <p>This position is seasonal and will begin the spring 2026 season.  The postision will conclude any time from September 30th through October 15th each season.</p>
