About The Role – Assistant Golf Professional (Seasonal)
The Assistant Golf Professional oversees the daily golf operations of the Golf Shop, outside services and tournament functions. The Assistant Golf Professional should have demonstrated experience of excellent human and public relations skills. This person will act on behalf of the Director of Golf when absent.
Specific responsibilities include
Coordinating group golf events
Assisting the Catering and Sales staffing any golf related functions
Participating in pre-conference meetings
Assisting the Director of Golf in the hiring and training of Golf Shop and Customer Services Areas
Maintaining a neat and orderly physical plant
Managing the tee sheet and inform the Golf Shop of special rules for play that day
Providing competent golf instructions to all groups and individuals, regardless of their level of play
Assisting the Director of Golf in the budgeting process
Assisting the Director of Golf and Pro-Shop Manager in buying apparel, equipment, and accessories
Advising the Director of Golf of course conditions if a change is noticed
Wage Information
The hourly rate for the position is $19.50.

Qualifications
Ability to teach group and individual lessons
Ability to portray the image required of a Head Golf Professional
Service oriented
Outgoing personality and genuine interest in golfers and their pursuit of the game
Dedication to the game of golf and determination to achieve Class A status
Computer and basic accounting skills
