Head Professional - Golf Club

About the Role Our client, an esteemed private golf club located in Sacramento, California , is seeking a highly skilled and personable Head Professional to lead its golf operations. This prestigious position is responsible for managing all aspects of the golf club, including the pro shop, instruction, tournament coordination, and member services related to golf.

The Head Professional will serve as the primary ambassador for the club's golf program, fostering a welcoming atmosphere and enhancing the golfing experience for all members. The ideal candidate is a passionate golf professional with strong leadership and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the golf shop, including inventory control, merchandising, and sales. Develop and implement a comprehensive golf instruction program for players of all skill levels. Organize and execute club tournaments, member events, and inter-club competitions. Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Oversee the club's golf handicapping system and ensure compliance with golf rules and etiquette. Manage the golf operations budget, driving revenue growth and controlling expenses effectively. Supervise and mentor golf staff, including assistants, apprentices, and shop personnel. Requirements PGA or LPGA Class A Professional certification is required.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in golf club operations, with at least 3 years in a Head Professional or Assistant Head Professional role. Demonstrated success in golf instruction, club fitting, and tournament management. Strong understanding of golf retail operations, inventory management, and visual merchandising. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
