Equipment Operator - Legend

About the position The Equipment Operator – Legend plays a key role in maintaining the quality and presentation of the Legend Golf Course. This position is responsible for the safe and effective operation of turf maintenance equipment to ensure optimal playing conditions. Working under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent, this role supports daily course maintenance and overall guest experience. Responsibilities Operate riding and walk-behind mowers to maintain greens, tees, fairways, and roughsUse trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles for course detailing and cleanupRake and maintain bunkers, water features, and landscaped areasFollow daily work assignments and complete tasks safely and efficientlyReport equipment issues or safety hazards promptlyAssist with equipment setup, cleanup, and seasonal transitionsSupport tournament and event preparation as neededMaintain a clean and professional appearanceFollow all safety protocols and proper equipment handling proceduresRequirements High school diploma or equivalentMust be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s licenseAbility to safely operate grounds maintenance equipmentAvailability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidaysNice-to-haves Experience in golf course, park, or turf maintenanceFamiliarity with reel and rotary mowers and turf equipmentBasic knowledge of golf course layout and maintenance practices
