Golf Course Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities • Maintain the overall appearance of the golf course by mowing, edging, trimming, and fairways, and roughs using power tools and hand tools. • Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, fertilizing, pruning, and weed control to promote healthy turf and plant growth. • Assist with gardening tasks including soil preparation, planting new greenery, and seasonal flower bed upkeep. • Use landscaping equipment and tools safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols. • Support other team members with general maintenance duties to keep the course in excellent condition year-round. • Take directives from the Golf Course Superintendent on duties as necessary. Requirements • Prior experience or knowledge in horticulture, landscaping, or groundskeeping is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential. • Familiarity with irrigation systems, power tools, hand tools, and lawn care equipment is highly desirable, but not required. • Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions. • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to landscape maintenance and gardening tasks. • Excellent teamwork skills combined with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. • Working weekends may be required in peak season • Basic understanding of safety procedures related to equipment use and outdoor work environments.
