Role Description The Club General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Apple Mountain Golf Club in Clarkesville, GA. This role oversees day-to-day operations, including golf course activities, clubhouse services, food and beverage, and guest experience. The General Manager leads and supervises staff, manages scheduling, and ensures training and performance standards are met. Responsibilities include budgeting, financial reporting, inventory oversight, and working with ownership on revenue goals and cost control. The role also involves coordinating tournaments and events, maintaining facility standards, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements. The General Manager serves as the primary point of contact for members, guests, and community partners, fostering a welcoming, service-focused environment and addressing feedback or issues promptly. Qualifications Experience in golf club, hospitality, or recreational facility management, with skills in operations oversight and staff supervision.Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and basic accounting or reporting skills.Customer service and communication skills, including the ability to resolve issues, manage expectations, and build positive relationships with guests, members, and staff.Organizational and planning skills, including event coordination, scheduling, and time management.Leadership abilities, including team development, performance management, coaching, and fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace.Working knowledge of golf operations or a strong interest in learning golf course procedures, pace-of-play management, and tournament administration.Comfort with technology, including point-of-sale systems, scheduling or tee sheet software, and standard office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing).Ability to work on-site, including weekends and holidays as needed, and to respond flexibly to changing business needs.High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Business, Hospitality, Sports Management, or related field preferred.Previous supervisory or management experience in a service-focused environment strongly preferred.
