Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for the leadership and overall management of Bounty Club, ensuring exceptional experiences for members, guests, and staff. Reporting directly to the CEO of 8AM Golf, the GM oversees all club operations, manages financial performance, and maintains a culture of excellence, hospitality, and accountability across all departments.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of staff across various departments, including golf operations, food and beverage, groundskeeping, and membership services
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and customer-centric work culture
• Set goals, establish priorities, and monitor performance to ensure alignment with the club's objectives and vision
• Oversee daily operations of the golf course, ensuring smooth, efficient, and member-focused service
• Represent the golf course in public and private forums to build relationships with local businesses, sponsors, and the broader community
• Ensure all facilities, including the clubhouse, golf course, practice areas, and dining establishments, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and quality
• Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial goals are met and operations remain profitable
• Cultivate relationships with current and potential members to enhance member satisfaction and retention
• Oversee and support the planning, promotion, and execution of private events, corporate outings, and golf tournaments
Qualifications:
• 10+ years in a management role within the golf or hospitality industry
• Proven track record of leadership in private clubs or similar environments
• Strong business acumen with financial management experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems efficiently
• Proven ability to manage diverse teams and foster a positive work culture
• Knowledge of golf operations, including course maintenance, tournament management, and member engagement
• Certifications: Certification from the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) is a plus, but not required
